999 Location 0001 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=Pelican 4 is located offshore in the Bass Basin, Tasmania, 37km north of Burnie 999 Location 0081 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=and 3.3km southeast of Pelican 1. 999 Objective 0001 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=The well was drilled in the south-eastern part of the central block of the Pelic 999 Objective 0081 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=an structural complex. Two previous wells located on this block, Pelican 1 and 2 999 Objective 0161 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW= discovered gas and condensate in several sands within the Eastern View Coal Mea 999 Objective 0241 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=sures. A third well, Pelican 3, located to the north on a separate fault block, 999 Objective 0321 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=did not encounter any hydrocarbons as the prospective interval was absent. Data from logs and pressure tests 999 Summary 0401 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW= indicate that gas may also be present in several other thin intervals which wer 999 Summary 0481 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW=e not sufficiently good reservoirs to test. Thus, the presence of hydro- carbons 999 Summary 0561 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW= was established in several zones but with the exception of the Yellow and Green 999 Summary 0641 01 HDR GA NPD_REMARKW= sands, the reservoirs were too tight to yield good samples. GENERAL REMARKS 001 RMK_TYPE= TVD_DEPTH RMK= The TVD value (3051) was calculated from the directional survey data in the dbMap database as at 20-FEB-2009, using the ps_well_path_tvd_m function, using the greatest depth value found in the well header.
